Prince Harry Potter denies allegations of cheating in A-level magic10 Oct 2004 by Malcolm Drury
The Royal family's hopes that it could pass an entire year without allegations of wrong-doing have been dashed with a claim that Prince Harry Potter cheated on his magic AS-level coursework. The claims were made by one of his former teachers at Hogwarts, Brenda Shuttleworth, who is taking the school to an industrial tribunal, claiming unfair dismissal. She alleges that she was ordered by a senior magic master to sit beside the prince and give him specific technical terms to use in notes he was required to submit to explain the thinking behind his work. She also claims that she was told to prompt him on the correct spell to use to turn Sun photographers into toads during his magic practical. The 20-year-old prince, who also obtained a D grade in geography, needed good grades to gain admission to the Sandhurst Academy of Alchemy. The Royal Family has denied the allegations. It is less than a year since *, the Royal formerly known as Prince Charles, denied allegations of an unspecified nature that could not be published for unspecified legal reasons. Although it is believed that the unspecified allegations were never proven in an unspecified manner - because of the publication ban we cannot be specific on that point - the damage was considerable. For example, shortly afterwards, as DeadBrain exclusively reported, the entire Family felt obliged to issue a blanket denial of any wrongdoing, and *'s potted plants decided to move out of #, the residence formerly known Clarence House, because of the stress. Sir Michael Peat-Moss, spokesman for *, told our reporter that the allegations against *'s son were utterly preposterous. Prince Harry, he said, is perfectly capable of casting spells without assistance. Her Majesty is understood to be quite upset at the latest allegations, having hoped that the Family could at least go a year without controversy, but will not be making a statement. It is further understood that Prince Philip has been locked in his room without access to telephone, writing paper, semaphore flags or Aldis lamp until the issue has blown over. A Buckingham Palace official, speaking on condition of strict anonymity, told our reporter that this was now a standard precaution. The Sun, an alleged newspaper for the unisyllabic, has denied a suggestion that Ms Shuttleworth was, in fact, one of its reporters. Spokesman Douglas Ramsbottom said that the paper left that sort of thing to the Daily Mirror.
