 U.S. bombs "strategically-important" market 26 Mar 2003 The United States carried out further bombing raids on Baghdad last night in a continuation of the war in Iraq. Speaking to troops in Florida this morning, President Bush described the target, a small market and shopping district, as "strategically vital" to the war effort. "In this meeting place hundreds people who could potentially be fanatical supporters of Saddam Hussein could quite possibly have been plotting to attack the West in some horrible and gruesome way," he explained amid random loud cheering from the overexcited soldiers. RAF Group Captain Douglas Ramsbottom told DeadBrain that "war is not risk-free". "Sometimes there's a risk the Americans will hit the right target, too," he added.
